Kisuma Chemicals BV (more than 100 FTE) is the leading global supplier of synthetic layered double hydroxides (commonly referred to as "hydrotalcites"). These compounds are used as functional additives in plastics, mainly for automotive and construction applications. Professionalism, commitment and continuity are central to our corporate culture. What is your challenge at Kisuma?
The project lead acts on behalf of Kisuma Chemicals to safeguard the interests of Kisuma Chemicals.
The project leader manages the project and/or sub-projects, so that the agreed objectives are achieved. Safety, cost control and planning are central to this.
The project leader reports to the Operations Manager.
Specifically, the following tasks are part of your position:
Drafting a clear definition of Kisuma Chemicals's project scope and developing a concrete project plan based on the available information.
Ensuring the success of the project, both in construction and commissioning phase.
Oversee cost control during the project.
Achieving the (financial) project objectives by properly planning the right resources (external personnel).
Managing expectations of senior management and stakeholders; planning, tracking and reviewing the results of work.
Ensuring proper safety awareness and communication during the various phases of the project.
Ensuring that the project is delivered on schedule, within budget and with the correct “as build” documentation, in line with the existing Kisuma Chemicals working methods.
Supervising compliance with company and safety regulations during the project activities.
Project Elements
The project plan that we expect from the project lead will include:
A clearly defined scope, outlining the project phasing and the deliverables.
Appointed project team members and arranged consultation frequency with all stakeholders, including a communication plan to all employees.
Carrying out risk studies in advance to ensure compliance with regulations (legionella, emission, ARBO, NEN3140, etc.). The Management of Change Procedure must be followed.
Construction drawings and construction calculations provided.
A prepared budget for the entire project in advance.
Established GO/NO GO decision points.
Arranging quotations and cost control for the entire project.
Planning and coordinating construction work in the correct order.
Being clear about when to scale up if additional wishes/requirements arise during the project.
Success of the final project, in a safe manner.
Delivery and processing of all information in the existing systems of Kisuma Chemicals (including Ultimo, archives, Exact).
Carrying out the evaluation with all stakeholders.
